Distressed wooden box with stained glass mosaic sailboat.
This beautiful handmade wooden box came from a thrift shop. It has a man-made marks for a rustic look with decorative touches of metal corners. The box hinges allow 180 degree opening. I cleaned this box up and added a light coat of varnish to brighten up and give fresh look. Please note it is a used box with signs of wear.
Size: 7.5" x 6.5" x 2.5" tall (with cover)
I used unique variety of stained glass scrap to create a nautical abstract mosaic design -- a little orange sailboat surrounded by blue-green ocean waves. Each glass piece is hand cut and glued to glass-base box cover, grouted light grout and sealed.
